The project was phased to allow the existing station to stay in operation while the new facility was constructed. The building features a full kitchen, living room, bunk rooms, laundry facilities, spacious back deck, exercise room, & radiant floor heating in the vehicle bays. The facility has 4 bays & room to house 8 large fire & rescue vehicles. A 3,200 gallon silo adjacent to the firehouse stores water to feed the sprinkler system in the firehouse.

The Architectural Historical Rehabilitation work will include the grand central staircase, west porch columns, select doors, trim work & flooring. An August, 2020 completion is anticipated.
