Exceeding Expectations

Four Point Business Philosophy

LCW History

A Story of Success

\

The winter of 1984 saw the emergence of a new commercial general contractor in Winchester, VA. Beginning with two small projects, two foremen, a secretary and three field workers, Allen D. Ervin began the successful journey of developing LCW. Our initial projects, the Dickey Ridge Comfort Station and the Scott Plastics industrial renovations, both in Warren County VA, had combined contract values of $250,000. This was quite a humble beginning for a company that today has completed single projects in the $20 million range. LCW’s success is attributable to several core principles: a strong work ethic; uncompromising safety standards; and the business philosophy put in place in our early years. That ongoing philosophy commits to building quality projects at acceptable costs and on-time schedules while providing outstanding customer service.

\

Success in the early years allowed us to grow our company into a well-recognized name in the construction industry serving the tri-state area of Virginia, West Virginia and Maryland. LCW has become a complete, turn-key commercial general contractor offering services in; land acquisition support; pre-construction services (preliminary budgeting, value engineering, design-build opportunities, etc.); construction management; and skilled construction operations.

\

Never forgetting our roots, LCW still constructs small commercial jobs as well as larger commercial projects, like the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office, A.S. Rhodes Elementary School, and the Orlean Volunteer Fire Department. Working on projects involving concrete, masonry, wood, steel, and pre-engineered steel structures allows us the ability to construct or renovate any commercial or industrial facility type.

\

Our experienced and dedicated staff, including engineers, estimators and project managers, together with our highly skilled field superintendents and field crews, is more than willing and able to exceed your expectations.
